Shira Weinstein is a graduate of the University of Rochester and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She has been a member of the bar for over twenty years. She began her career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York and in 1989 went into private practice. Since then she has practiced almost exclusively in the area of matrimonial law, both in Westchester County and in New York City. Ms. Weinstein has been affiliated with firms in Westchester County, as well as in New York City. She is also a member of the Law Guardian Panel for the Ninth Judicial District, and has represented children in custody and neglect proceedings in both Supreme and Family Court. Ms. Weinstein has handled a broad range of family and matrimonial matters ranging from prenuptial agreements to complex equitable distribution cases, as well as custody and appellate litigation.
